Shipping
Our goal is to process and ship orders within 1–2 business days. Orders placed on weekends, holidays, or after normal business hours may require additional processing time. While most orders ship promptly, occasional delays may occur due to order volume, inventory availability, weather, carrier delays, or other unforeseen circumstances.
Shipping Insurance
Optional shipping insurance is available during checkout. If shipping insurance is purchased, covered claims for loss or damage during transit will be handled according to the terms of the insurance provider. If shipping insurance is not selected, packages are automatically insured for up to $100.
If your package is lost, damaged, or shows as delivered but has not been received, please contact us as soon as possible so we can assist with investigating the issue. Claims may be subject to carrier requirements and filing deadlines.
Shipping Rates
Shipping rates are calculated during checkout based on the products ordered, package weight, destination, and selected shipping method. To obtain a shipping quote, simply add items to your cart and proceed to checkout.
Shipping Restrictions and State Compliance Policy
CDVS complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding the sale and shipment of ammunition, magazines, and related products. Customers are responsible for ensuring they are legally eligible to purchase and possess the products ordered. Orders that do not comply with applicable laws, documentation requirements, or company policies may be delayed, canceled, or refunded. Please note that these restrictions are subject to change as federal, state, and local laws are updated.
Alaska
Due to federal transportation restrictions, CDVS does not ship ammunition directly to Alaska residents. Ammunition may be shipped to a freight forwarder designated by the customer, who is responsible for arranging final delivery.
California
All ammunition orders shipped to California must be sent to a licensed California Federal Firearms License (FFL) dealer or licensed California ammunition vendor for transfer to the purchaser. CDVS does not ship ammunition directly to California residential addresses.
Customers are responsible for selecting a California FFL dealer or licensed ammunition vendor that is willing to accept ammunition transfers on their behalf. Please have your selected dealer email a copy of their license to [email protected] and include your order number to help expedite processing.
The receiving California FFL dealer or licensed ammunition vendor will complete the required transfer and may collect any applicable transfer fees, California Firearms and Ammunition Excise Tax (CFET), sales or use tax, and any other charges required under California law.
Orders will not ship until we have received and verified a valid license from the receiving dealer or ammunition vendor.
Colorado
Effective July 1, 2026, Colorado law requires additional verification for retail ammunition shipments.
Customers shipping ammunition to a Colorado address must upload a valid, state-issued government ID verifying they are 21 years of age or older. In addition, all Colorado ammunition shipments require Adult Signature (21+) service at the time of delivery. The applicable carrier fee for this service will be added to your order.
By placing an order, you certify that you meet Colorado’s age requirements and that a person 21 years of age or older will be available to sign for the package upon delivery. Failure to provide the required documentation or an eligible adult signer may result in order delays, cancellation, returned shipments, or additional shipping charges.
